This work comprises three movements all in 'D' tonality. The first and third movements are in the major tonality and the middle movement is the modal minor key. It is a contemporary, yet tuneful work, and the middle movement is in triple time with a swing feel. Recently revised and updated.
The second movement ' Blue Interlude' has also been arranged as a piano duet. It was performed at the Rhapsodies to Rhumbas concert in 2014 by Margaret Brandman and Irma Enriquez.
